Leaving Me Behind by Sigal Ehrlich

Leaving Me Behind Synopsis:

A journey of self-discovery.
A mystic coastal town.
A Spanish lover.
One pulse-racing, all-consuming love affair.

Fed up with her comfortable and dull-to-boredom life, Liv takes the bravest leap, leaving it all behind. Unfortunately the crux of her issues – her entrenched, well-kept emotional guard – tags along for the ride.

With the spirit of change burning from every pore and a determined plan to break free from her self-oppressed lifestyle to enjoy life’s simplest pleasures, she moves half way across the globe to a peaceful Spanish coastal town.

With an aim to feel whole again, liberated and happy by herself, Liv begins her journey while maintaining weekly-cyber therapy sessions with her long time, questionable shrink.

As Liv finally begins to enjoy her new life and experience the varied goods the exotic country has to offer, a sudden major turn leads Liv to be swept into the most tantalizing roller coaster of her life.

A turn that leaves her questioning everything she thought was right.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Sigal Ehrlich Bio:

By teen age, Sigal already lived in three different continents where she was lucky enough to experience and visit varied places, meet unique people, which only helped fuel her overly developed imagination. Currently, Sigal calls Estonia home where she lives with her husband and three kids.
Not exactly sure where they will end up next…

I have received this arc in return for my honest opinion. In no ways was I forced or bribed to leave the following review.

Leaving me behind is a book about a girl named Liv that has a very dull and boring life. She has issues that have been festering for a while now when it comes to her mother and her mom’s opinions on weight. She leads a life that allows her to feel no emotions towards others except for her father which she feels things she is not able to explain.

During her revelations she decides that she is going to leave her job, home, and everyone she knows and goes to a Spanish Costal Town half way around the globe she has decided to leave it all behind and find herself.  Unfortunately the crux of her issues – her entrenched, well-kept emotional guard – tags along for the ride.

While there she meets some new people and begins making friends with some ladies that she meets. She has become very good at being a master of lies as they now roll off her tongue. She gives everyone her version of why she has come to the town instead of the real reason. While helping Viv at the cafe one night she meets this handsome hunk who she has this magnetic pull to and agrees to take him home and do something things that she has never done before with a complete stranger. After that one night she is unable to get him out of her thoughts and dreams and begins a journey that that leaves her questioning everything she thought was right.

This book is very good and I would love to learn more about each of the characters and cannot wait to see what this author will come up with next. An awesome story that will keep you reading for hours.
